I've been in Melaka for MBA class. The first class on 1/1/11, I've stayed at Mahkota Hotel.....a lousy hotel but quite expensive......I think this due to New Year holidays as so many Singaporeans were in Melaka.... I took a decision to book for a budget hotel for 15/1/11 class. It's a good hotel though.....and very clean as well. The room rate was affordable...only RM79.00. There are so many restaurants near the hotel. And, it also located just beside the major shopping malls, i.e. Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan Mall..etc.
If you wish to visit Melaka.....this hotel can be considered as a good place to stay.
Just try Trend Hotel........
