A fever.....

My youngest son is not feeling well since we went back from KL last week. A very high fever....and we took him to paediatricians few times already. The high fever requires for immediate action to reduce the temperature as the paediatrician suggested. We've tried alternative medication too as his fever reoccurs during night time......

I pray to Allah.....and hope he gets well soon.....insyaAllah

A conversation......

My sons always talk with each other. So many things....discussed.....

They are really closed together. It's very interesting to hear their common conversation..."Nanti bila angah besaq...angah nak beli keta Skyline..."

The eldest replied: "Along nak beli Nissan GTR Sport..."

I still remember....when I was about 8++ years old....I told my brother......" che' nak beli basikal bmx bila dah kaya..."

Deadline vs Dateline..........

I need to work harder to settle TWO (2) important tasks this week. First, my research proposal and the second one, an article for journal publication. All must be done by Thursday 31 March 2011. On the weekend, I'll be travelling to Kajang for MBA class. A very hectic week......but life goes on.....
And....one more thing....it really makes me happy to see some of my old friends and students have read my blog updates.....

Is it ordinary cold or adenovirus infection?

We have been alerted with few deaths of RMPD (Royal Malaysian Police Department) trainees recently. It was due to adenovirus infections (specifically AD14 type). The dangerous part of this virus was the early symptom just common to ordinary flu and the medical staff perhaps diagnosed the victims wrongly.......

What are the common symptoms of adenovirus infection? Please read here

I pray for those who are still in the Hospital Kuala Lumpur will be getting well soon......

Libya: The Attack Begins.....

It didn't surprise me at all when the Allies Coalition started to attack Libya on Sunday (Malaysia time). I think, the USA led coalition just waited for the right moment to launch the attacks. Of course with abundant of weapons and war machinery, they will be able to demolish the Muamar Gadaffi Regime in a very short time. But, who knows what will happen next.....
Perhaps, USA gains most from this war with Libya as more oil projects opportunities available there.....

A mission accomplished!

Finally, I managed to settle my practicum visits on Friday and came back to Jitra on Saturday. It's very tiring especially during this unpredictable weather. I was not feeling well started from Thursday (17/3/2011) morning though. Coughing was the first symptom.......
Overall, I really satisfied that all students were underwent their practicum training happily. And, I've managed to meet some of the officers at the organizations and got their feedbacks about UUM students.....

TEMAN-TERMINAL AGRIBISNES NEGARA

I've visited my practicum students in Ipoh and went to some interesting organizations. Some of course, located in very unexpected locations. But, overall, the students were enjoyed themselves in their practicum or industrial internship. One of my questions to them was whether sexual harassment happened or not.......

I've visited a student attached to FAMA (Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority) in Ipoh at TEMAN. It's a centralised wholesalers centre for all types of foods related products specifically to help bumiputera wholesalers. It looks very great effort by Government to ensure sufficient food supply to people nearby. Hope this RM400 millions investment is fully utilised.......

A book.....

I've bought a book written by Tun Dr. Mahathir. It's a nice book to read. He writes in a narrative style and really enjoyable reading it. Many things have been written in specific chapters. It costs me RM100.00 but I think...the price still affordable to many people....

Earthquake.......Japan 11/3/2011

Japan was struck by deadly 8.9 Richter Scale earthquake on Friday noon and triggered a massive 10-metre tsunami. The power of these killer waves demonstrated the super power of destruction. Live videos from various news agencies showed how the tsunami rammed into the land areas and demolished anything within.....
I was really shocked to hear the news when my sis in-law called me to highlight the tsunami impact at 6.00pm on Friday.
I want to express my deepest condolence to those affected in this tragic catastrophe. I pray Malaysia will always in good condition.....and be thankful...Allah SWT still protects us from such tragedies......

Practicum Visit

It's about 3 years after reporting duty from my Ph.D. study leave. I am surprised to know that I have been selected as one of the visiting supervisors for practicum students. I don't bother much whether the management select me or not. But, to be selected is a good thing though. Not only I able to visit the students and also can use this opportunity for future research connections with various organizations. More importantly, I hope the students are learning something....valuable.....during this practicum.

Kajang.......

I've to teach another MBA class this month and it's in Kajang. I think it's quite a long ago since my last visit to Kajang and the traffic congestion is improving. Not bad as my last visit. Many new highways help to ease the traffic congestion. I've stayed in a budget hotel (RM80.00 nett per night) but it's really good. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. Even, wi-fi service is available at no cost. Just try the New City Hotel if you're visiting Kajang........

Futsal.....

I play futsal every Monday nite 9pm-10pm. It becomes my routine and my friends from UUM and some from Jitra also join. Sometimes, our team plays against teams from Jitra for friendly matches. So far, in 2011, we've played 3 friendly games with various teams. Even last nite, my team played another friendly match against a team from Onkyo Jitra. The team invited one of the former national centre halves, Kamal Idris Ali. Yes, he can play very good football but in futsal, it's different story.....His team consists of some good players as well. My team, of course, majority is UUM lecturers and businessmen.......
I don't bother much....whether he is a former national team player or what......the most important thing is I just want to play and score goals.....
Next week is going to be very busy week for my team because we have two invitations for friendly matches......
1. Monday-we have a game against an Ex-SMJ team
2. Wednesday-Kamal Idris Ali's team.....asks my team for a re-match...........

a gift.....

I've taught an MBA class in Melaka recently. The final examination results also already forwarded to the university senate for endorsement. Some students were excellent....some not.....but overall they performed well. The class gave me a gift....perhaps my birthday gift.....
I didn't open the gift until I've transmitted the final examination results though.....
Thank you very much....and look forward to meet them again in future.....
